Surah al-Kahf holds a significant place among the chapters of the Holy Qur’an. Numerous prophetic traditions emphasise its excellence. Notably, reciting or memorising the initial ten verses of this surah serves as a safeguard against the trials and tribulations posed by the antichrist. These verses contain profound layers of meaning, such that anyone who recites or memorises them by heart will never fall into the antichrist's temptation, and it becomes easy for him to confront this great trial with patience. This research delves into the exploration of the virtues attributed to this surah within authentic prophetic traditions. Subsequently, the characteristics of this surah, as extracted from these ahadith, are compiled in this study. The researcher also identifies and scrutinises any misconceptions or superstitions among these attributes that deviate from true Islamic beliefs and principles while also conflicting with Islamic etiquette. In this study, the researcher has adopted two approaches: the inductive approach and the analytical approach. The inductive approach was utilised to compile and track the authentic ahadith pertaining to the excellence and characteristics of this surah. On the other hand, an analytical approach was employed to analyse the texts of these ahadith and extract their underlying meanings. The study has been concluded with significant outcomes.
