Moderation is one of the features that make Islam a religion that remains relevant until the end of time. This feature is making it also relevant for all nations regardless of their social status. Moderation makes the perfection of Islam practical and realistic in regulating with life or manhaj al-hayah. In government's effort to transform the country, the concept of moderation has been applied as a strategic approach and proved that it gives a positive impact to the executive agency on delivering a development agenda as outlined, as well as to the community that can enjoy life's well-being, the results is the current country progress. The effectiveness of his strategy to the Malaysian society which consists of various religion backgrounds and races is the evidence of Islam's miracles that is known as 'al-Din'. Thus, understanding and appreciating this concept from the real resource will enhance the positive impact of the implementation for this concept in the country's transformation agenda. This paper aims to explain the concept of moderation from the perspective of Quran and Sunnah by seeking the context of the relevant passages from the standpoint of understanding according to language background and the culture of Arab community during the days of our Prophet SAW, as well as the explanation of Islamic scholars to provide an understanding and appreciation to cultivate moderation in various dimension of life. The study will focus on the Quran and Sunnah texts related to moderation, then the analysis and description by the mufassir and respectable scholars from classical texts (turath), as well as the view of the contemporary scholars in order to understand, appreciate and apply this concept in life. The findings could open a new dimension to the understanding of society regarding moderation concept and provide a comprehensive guide for them to be applied in various sector of life, especially in the context of public service.
