The research discusses a portion of Fatima Translation of the meanings of Surat al-Baqarah and it is interpreted into the Chinese language. This translation has impressed Muslims in China who do not communicate in Arabic. The research aims at introducing Ismail Zhang Chen Qian, the translator of Fatima Translation, and to study his most important notations. The research has been devoted to discussing six verses: 24,31,35,63,71,138 of Surat al-Baqarah, adopting the descriptive analytical approach. The discussions have achieved the conclusion that Ismail Zhang Chen Qian’s interpretation is considered as a misrepresentation and distortion of the meanings of the Qur’an. His interpretation contains a lot of Qadiani convictions. He ignores the Hudud (bounds set by Allah to regulate human behavior), as well as rejecting other Islamic provisions. This has appeared in his remarks on the book of Fatema, and his reliance on what is stated in the Old and New Testaments. He also has not addressed any of the approved Muslim scholars of interpretation. He has bucked the Sunnah and precluded all the ahadeeth of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Ismail has manipulated the meanings of the Holy Quran and invented lies. Due to this tendentious and non-credible interpretation which is filled with untruths, the researcher recommends rejection of Fatima Translation of the meaning of the Qur’an, and not to adopt the translation nor the commentary.
