Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

  1. A new author will be required to register as a new user before proceeding to the submission stage. Most processes and procedures are self-explanatory.
  2. After logging in, please fill up the submission form and select the article types.
  3. The paper should be submitted in the digital file form "*.doc".

Author Guidelines 

  1. The paper should be within Quranic and Prophetic Tradition Studies, Sirah, Qur’anic issues within technology and multimedia, human development as well as in other fields written from Quran and Sunnah perspectives.
  2. The article should be either Arabic, English or Malay.
  3. These articles also do not publish previously.
  4. The article must avoid any sensitive issues and must be followed by the rules of Aqidah and Syariah guidelines without insulting any organization or individuals.
  5. The article should not exceed 6,000 words, excluding the footnotes.
  6. The published article would not represent the stand or opinion of the Advisory Board, Editorial Board, the Management Team of Journal of Maalim al-Quran wa al-Sunnah.

Style and Format

  1. The paper should be typed using only Times New Roman font (12) for Roman characters, line spacing 1.5 lines, while Traditional Arabic font should be used for Arabic or Jawi characters font (16), and with spacing 1.5 lines. Paragraph formatting and overall presentation should conform to the practice of Journal of Maalim al-Quran and al-Sunnah, as can be seen in the example paper.
  2. The paper should be attached to an article’s title, main author(s) and the second author(s) name along with the full address, (institution’s or university’s address, e-mail, handphone’s number, office’s number, together with the second author’s details).
  3. All bibliography should be listed in Roman character, either the references are quoted from English or Arabic.
  4. The paper should be supplemented with (a) titles; (b) abstracts not exceeding 150 words and; (c) keywords not exceeding seven terms, both in Arabic and English.
  5. Tables and figures: Tables and figures should be submitted together with the documents and included as part of the text. Tables and figures should be numbered in Arabic numerals. The approximate position of tables and figures should be indicated in the paper.
  6. The paper should use only a footnote system, and neither an in-text note nor an endnote. The footnote, basically, should follow either the 16th Chicago Style. (http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org; http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html).

شروط النشر بالمجلة

شروط عامة

1. أن يكون البحث في إطار القرآن والسنة وعلومهما، والمجالات الأخرى التي لها علاقة بالقرآن والسنة.

2.  البحث ممكن أن يكون بأي هذه اللغات الثلاث (العربية، الإنجليزية والماليزية)

3. أن يكون البحث غير منشور أو مقدم للنشر في مكان آخر.

4. أن يلتزم البحث بالمحافظة على العقيدة الإسلامية، ولا يتجاوز الثوابت الشرعية، مع عدم الإساءة والتحريج للشحصيات والهيئات.

5. أن يتراوح عدد كلمات البحث بين (6000 كلمة) غير الهوامش.

6. الآراء الواردة في البحوث المنشورة لا تعبر عن وجهة نظر هيئة التحرير أو المجلة.

الدخول والتسجيل

- سوف يطلب من المستخدم الجديد التسجيل كمستخدم جديد قبل الشروع في مرحلة التقديم. ومعظم العمليات هي البحث الذاتي.

- بعد التسجيل، يرجى ملء استمارة التسليم. في اختيار القسم، يرجى الاختيار من نوع المقالات.

- البحث لا بد من أن يرسل في صيغة .doc".

شكل الكتابة والتوثيق

- أن تقدم البحوث العربية بخط (Traditional Arabic)، بحجم (16) للنصوص في المتن، وبالخط نفسه بحجم (12) للهوامش. والمسافة بين الأسطر (1.5). وتقدم البحوث الإنجليزية بخط (Times New Roman) بحجم (12) للنصوص في المتن، وبالخط نفسه بحجم (9) للهوامش. والمسافة بين الأسطر (1.5). 

- أن يتضمن البحث على عنوان البحث، اسم الباحث الرئيس وأسماء الباحثين المشاركين مع تفاصيل المراسلة (عنوان الجامعة، البريد الإلكتروني، رقم الجوال، ورقم المكتب) لجميع الباحثين.

- أن يتضمن البحث على (أ) عنوان البحث (ب) الملخص الذي لا يتجاوز عن 150 كلمة (ج) الكلمات المفتاحية وهي لا تتجاوزعن سبع كلمات، باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية.

- أن يستخدم البحث طريق التوثيق في الهوامش، وليس في داخل ولا  في آخر المقال. وتعتمد المجلة دليل (16th Chicago Style) في التوثيق. وهو تمكن معرفتها بالرجوع إلى المواقع التالية.
